This includes an A-rated boiler from top brands like Vaillant or Worcester Bosch, along with pipework, radiators, thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), and a room thermostat. Additionally, the grant may cover other energy-efficient home improvements. Households currently using low-efficiency electric heating can significantly reduce their energy bills through this fully funded grant—no repayments required.

The grant is available to homeowners and private tenants who meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants must receive one of the ECO4 qualifying benefits and have a property that meets the required energy efficiency band as determined by an Energy Performance Report. For private tenants, landlord or letting agent permission is mandatory. Furthermore, the property must have a gas meter installed before April 1, 2022, with evidence required to confirm this.
